MUA: Nail Collection | Part 2

The second part to my MUA nail collection are some of my more autumn and winter colours. If you haven't read my previous part 1 post then you may not be aware how much I love MUA nail polish, there formulation and price is amazing.

Red Rose

This is a gorgeous true red and only needed 1 coat. It did stain my nails without a base coat though, so be careful!!

This needed 2 coats and unfortunately the gold doesn't show up as much as it does in the bottle, but is  still an unusual colour.

This is a lovely deep pink and is great for doing nail art as it is very opaque and only needs 1 coat.

This is one of my favourite colours, its a nice light brown and again only needs 1 coat.

This isn't the brightest pink but is a lovely colour and great for quick application as you only need 1 coat.

This is another favourite colour of mine when looking at it in the bottle, it looks very similar to bright pink but it is a lot lighter when on the nail.

This shows up a lot more orange when on the nail, but in the bottle it is much more of a pinky red.

This is my most used colour from this collection, I love it!! It is opaque in one coat, and I love using it for nail art (Sorry about the shadow in this photo)

Again non of these swatches have a base or top coats. All of these colours have a lovely shine and have great lasting power.Go check out other MUA polishes they have so many colours and affects to choose from.

Nail Care Routine

After having acrylic nails for over two years, my nails were really damaged. They were weak, never grew and broke easily. I've always loved painting my nails, trying new colours, new trends and doing nail art. This routine has helped my nails grow and get a lot stronger. I like trying different things, but these are what I will forever repurchase.

I start my nail routine by removing any dirt from under my nails (if necessary).

I then use an aloe vera oil, which I picked up from my local nail salon along my cuticles to soften them. I then push my cuticles back with the nail stick I used first. I find my cuticles grow quite quickly so I do this step about once a month.

I then trim my cuticles with a cuticle cutter. If you haven't done this before, be careful!! I always mange to cut myself which is highly annoying as then I have to wait to paint them.

I then file my nails into a square shape, but you can do whatever shape you like. I've had this nail file for years, I don't have a clue where I got it from, but its amazing!

I then buff my nails, sometimes I don't smooth and shine them as I feel my nail polish doesn't last as long when I do this step.

I then use this Avon Nail Experts cuticle gel, which helps with nail growth. However, they don't do this one any more, so I have linked there newer one, but you can always use one for your nail type.

I then use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails base coat. this has been a massive help to my nail routine, and I've replaced it at least 3 times.

I then go in with my nail design, and always seal it with Seche Vite Speed Dry Top Coat. Which I love, but it does get a bit thick towards the end of the bottle.

I hope this helps with your nail care routine, and if you have and recommendation's leave them in the comments :)

Poppin' My Bubble

So I haven't written a new post in a long time :(

I've been in a difficult place since finishing uni. It's really strange when everything you've been working towards for four years suddenly ends. It's like iv'e been trapped in my own little bubble. I can see the people around me and see them talking, but I can't hear what there saying properly, like its all muffled. If that makes any sense :/

I don't currently have a job, so I'm trying to find things to fill my time, to try and get out of my bubble. It's a lonely place, but I don't know how to let anyone in. Anthony (my partner) has been great, and understanding. His really good at lifting my spirits and doing things with me that he knows I enjoy, but then he has to go to work so I don't get to see him that much :( One of my close friends also moved away, and I used to see her at least 3 times a week. So this has been a massive readjustment, we have so much in common and used to everything together!!

I know I have friends I can talk to, but I don't like putting my problems on to people close to me, especially when they have things going on. I know this is something I need to sort out myself, and now I feel well enough to get back to blogging and other things I enjoy.

A great outlet has been reading!! Now I've finished uni I'm able to read for pleasure, which is way more fun :) I managed to get a copy of Zoella's Girl Online, which was amazing for those of you that haven't read it. I felt a little bit old for the book, but towards the middle of the book I just couldn't put it down, she's a great writer. But my favourite read of late has to be Giovanna Fletchers, Dream a Little Dream. I couldn't wait for this book to come out, it sounded so good, and something I would enjoy. And I was not disappointed!!! She has an incredible imagination and I really felt for the characters, so much so that I cried!! Numerous of times:/ A must read for any women.

I've suffered from clinical depression for 5 years, and i think its really important to talk about it to try and help others. It's also important to find things you can enjoy doing to help you escape your 'bubble'.

What kind of things do you like doing when your down? Maybe we can help each other try new methods :)

Makeup Revolution | Wish List

Since I tried my first Makeup Revolution product, I couldn't wait to get my hands on more of there affordable products!!

At such a reasonable price there's not really anything I don't want to try. I think all of there eye shadow palettes look beautiful, and with so many incredible colours to choose from. How will I ever pick?! The lovely Scandalous lipsticks look like a great alternative for NYX Cosmetics Macaroon Lippies but only a fraction of the price, you can't really go wrong. I'd love to experiment with some of these bright colours. Over all Makeup Revolution is a must in my book. For such a good price I don't think you can go wrong.

Let me know if any of you have tried Makeup Revolution, and have you loved them or not?

MUA: Nail Collection | Part 1

I'm a bit of a nail polish junkie, and I have a hugeee collection. One of my favourite brands is MUA!! They have soooo many to choose from, there super pigmented and formula is amazing. If you have never tried them I highly recomend them at only £1.00 you can't really go wrong.

This is probably my least favourite colour. It's very streaky, and needed 3 coats. I was hoping it would be more of a vanilla shade.

I love this colour, I haven't used it before so was very pleasantly surprised. Really nice summer colour and only needed 2 coats.

I've been using this colour a lot through the summer it is beautiful pinky purple mix. I always get compliments on it. Again this only needs 2 coats.

This is a lovely coral, orange colour. This would be a nice colour on toes, and opaque in 2 coats.

This is a gorgeous muted pink colour, perfect for an Autumn day. I recently wore this with pistachio ice cream as an accent for a wedding, the colours were perfect together. This is great if your in a hurry because you only need one coat.

Again another colour that you only need 1 coat for. This is a nice warm tone purple, and is great for using in nail art as the colour is so opaque.

This is a gorgeous colour for Summer and would go really nice with Natural Days as an accent. This colour only needs 2 coats.

This has been one of my favourite colours for this Summer, its a perfect pastel green and opaque in only 1 coat. Its perfect for fast application.

This is the darkest colour of all, but again looks lovely on toes for Summer. It's  a perfect mix between green and blue, and only needs 2 coats.

Non of these swatches have got a base or top coat. All of the polishes have a gorgeous shine, and I find them to be quite long wearing. Go check them out MUA Polishes They have some gorgeous new colours.

I hope you enjoyed my post and follow me on bloglovin' for more updates.

Lipstick Haul and Small Review

Arghhhh, I'm so excited for my first bloggg!!! I hope you all enjoy it and keep looking out for more posts about Fashion, Makeup and Nails!

So I have extreme amounts of makeup, but one thing I never seem to buy is lipstick. I always seem to wear lipstick, and now I'm older I thought I need to expand on my collection of lipsticks. Whilst choosing my newest foundation I decided to try out some new lipsticks. I purchased two from Make Up Academy in Superdrug, they had some really gorgeous colours in there but I limited myself to just the two, which was extremely hard :)

My first one is the 'Power Pout, Colour Intense Tint & Balm', in the colour 'Runaway'. My Mum always uses the 'Chubby Sticks' from Clinique, and I thought this was a cute, cheaper alternative. I love the formula of this, its really soft when I put it on and it seems to last a long time. Because its a tint I found it stained my lips slightly, which I know isn't for everyone, but I like this as I think it makes it last longer. This is £3 from MUA, Superdrug.

My second purchase from MUA was the 'Kiss You' lipstick in a gorgeous, bright, Barbie pink. It wasn't till I got home I realised it was a 1 Direction lipstick. Which I'm not a major fan of but it wouldn't stop me from buying this again. The formula in this again is really soft and velvety, however I don't find it lasts as long. But I just adore the colour. Again this is from Superdrug, 1D collection at £3.

The three others I purchased were from a little stall in The Merry Hill Centre in Dudley. They're £3.99 or 3 for £10, which I think is a really good bargain for some of the makes they had.

The first one is a Revlon 'Moon Drops Lipstick' in the colour 'Frost Poppysilk Red' number 714. I was looking for some orangey, peach colours but when I saw this I just loved it. Its got a slight shimmer to it, but not to much that it looks silly. I think the colour is slightly more pink then red, but I still had to have it. I also loved the packaging on this one as its a pretty bright green colour.

The second one I purchased is a L'Oreal Paris 'Color Riche' in the shade 'Pretty Peach' number 104. This is probably my favourite as its so silky smooth when you put it on. Its got more of a gold shimmer to it and it just looks fab on. Its a great colour for in the day just a really nice casual look.

My final purchase is from a company called 'Beauty UK'. I've never heard of them, but I think it might be a cheaper range. I bought it in the colour 'Tango' number 4. Its a lovely shade of orangey brown and its more of a matte colour. However, what I love about this is its got a small pop of bottom which is full of gloss which you can put on its own or after you've put your lipstick.

I hope you enjoyed my first ever blog post and follow me on bloglovin' for more updates.

A massive thanks to Smurph 'Sarahs Little World' for all her help with writing and taking the photos for my post :) Love you alwaysssss
